I always think saving time is a really great thing. When I find I’m wasting time on talking nonsense, staring blankly, watching soap opera and surfing the Internet for gossip etc, I always regret a little.

    Always enjoy the process of doing those things, after I finish them, I’ll feel a little empty. I just watched a terrible movie while having supper tonight. It describes a woman suddenly becoming a giant without reason and therefore having the power to deal with her unfaithful husband. I feel I’ve wasted two hours on it.     Idler is forty years old now. He has a wife and a son. His son was not good at studying and dropped out of school in a early age.     Every day he had time for gossip at the tea house of our small village and the content of his gossip was really as boundless as the sea and sky. From president to the piglet of neighbor, he just chatted day after day happily and contently. He didn’t play mahjong either and said he didn’t want to waste his energy on that kind of meaningless thing. I really despised him and thought he was nothing but a dawdler.

Now I don’t have to wear clothes with patch and I only like to lie in bed with hardwood. During rainy days, I can read Romance of Three Kingdoms, Water Margin etc for fun without any aim. When I’m tired of reading, I just go to bed to have a sleep until I wake up naturally, I never use alarm clock to wake myself. I have nothing to worry (×I don’t have to worry about anything). Everything in the nature will be natural for sure and not needs you to bother. Life is just less than one hundred years, why should I force myself against nature and make myself tired and unhappy for just a couple of common things?”

    I began to feel he was just like a high-minded hermit instead of a peasant.
