Once, I read five articles wrote by a guy. The guy just wrote five articles for his five fingers. Originally I thought the guy was so boring and even wrote nonsense like that, what kind of crap was that? I always thought writer should write things to analyze society deeply like Lu Xun did, but now I changed my mind suddenly. Five Fingers Articles and Lu Xun articles were just like my left hand and right hand, both of which are important.

Someone liked to read articles to taste the heaviness of life, someone liked to read articles to taste the easiness of life. You couldn’t say who was right and who was wrong.

Just like there are sparrow and eagle in the nature. You can’t say eagle is right, and sparrow is wrong. Though most of people liked to be eagle, actually I thought being sparrow wasn’t wrong either.

Reading Lu’s articles, I was in meditation. Reading Five Fingers Articles, I was in easiness and could not help laughing aloud. I mustn’t abandon them and had to seek a balance between them.

I heard a lot of people said they couldn’t write something and felt empty in head. Probably they lacked the insight of Lu Xun to write Lu articles, but they could write Five Fingers articles. I believed everyone could write this kind of articles.

Just take things on my computer table for example, I have a lot to write now. I have a reading lamp, you can write an article about it; I have a teacup, you can write an article about it. I have a mobile phone, another article…There are so many things you can write. Suddenly a hair drops from my head to my hand, still an article.

There is no need to worry about that you have nothing to write and only need to worry about that life is really short for you to write. Just take Han Han for example, his famous article of New Concept Composition is just about a spitball in the water of a glass. A so normal thing, but so fabulous an article.

You can write things about the whole world, you can write things about a tiny ant, you can’t say which is better and which is worse.
