When I graduated in 2006, after I worked in a new company I worked in Ningbo Tuopu Group. When I received my salary for the first time, I was really excited. I rarely earned money like other classmates did during college days. I never even took a part-time job at school.

For the following two years, I didn’t know which road I should take and never thought about it because I always thought I was young. Little did I think of time going by so quickly. Maybe it was just because the company was the same as university. I could live in the company completely without any influence from outside world. One day I thought I must select my road because I wasn’t young anymore

When I was young, my biggest talent was drawing. This year, I went home and looked at my drawing 15 years ago, feeling myself really wasted my drawing talent. Because I was born in the country, having the formal education was the only way for me. So the road of drawing was blocked, by the way, a guy liked drawing in my village failed to earn his life by drawing, so my dad wasn’t willing to let me select that road.

When I was in college, I liked to watch action movie a lot and dreamt of being an actor. I went to gymnasium a lot and also practised martial art. Anyhow, I got nothing except praises saying I was in good shape. The road was blocked too.

After I watched the 3D movie Ice Age, I thought 3D animation was my dream. I could use my drawing talent, but it was really hard to earn a life by 3D animation, so I just treated the dream as a hobby. Now the road was totally blocked.

When I was in Tuopu Group, I was a hardware engineer and dreamt of being first-class hardware designer, but after I came to Shenzhen, I thought hardware design was really boring. So I changed my career from hardware to software, hence became a software rookie. During that period, I had dreams too, most of which were about making money.

I operated online shop in Taobao and found it was really difficult to start. At the beginning, there was no customer and I had to waste a lot of time on it. The road was blocked too.

I even opened a restaurant with my friend, though the business went well, I found the money coming too slow to my pocket. I deserted the road.

Now I just worked in the company being a software engineer, after work, I learnt a little English. I didn’t know what I would do now. Maybe I could work abroad for a MNC. This was the last road. I wasn’t young enough to get a new road now.
