My assistant Shen just handed in his resignation report today. Always felt happy welcoming new colleagues and sad bidding farewell to old colleagues. Next month he would be at home and got married. He told me he would do business at home to support himself and his family. He didn’t want to be merely an employee when he was thirty.

   Though he wasn’t a very talented engineer, he was the most serious engineer I had ever met. He always tried best to do his work. Nowadays, there were so many people who had grandiose aims but puny abilities, but Shen was different. When he came to the company last year, I always told him to test software function at first, which was really a dull and time-consuming job. Two people did that before and couldn’t bear it, both of them quitted, only Shen tried his best to do it.

    No matter how, he had his life plan. What would I become when I was thirty? Everyone has his own right to choose life, as long as he is happy, which will be OK. Owning his wife and child, doing his own business, living a quiet life in small city, which I think isn’t bad actually.
