This time I felt the power of official. My boss gave a wireless router as present to a guy of State Taxation Bureau, last Friday, the guy gave my boss a call and said he didn’t know how to use it.
So my director told me to receive the guy and also told me a lot of matters needing attention, in a word, I must respect the guy, even more than my own father. This guy was in charge of our company and held the destiny of our company. Last year, when he examined our company annually, he was in a bad mood or our company didn’t receive him well, he was extremely strict and found a fault to make our company pay 500,000 for it. Though the money wasn’t for him, he could make you suffer.
I felt it was funny. Luckily, the guy wasn’t stupid, after several instructions of mine, he could use it successfully. I thought being an official was really the first-ranked citizen. Though the name was public servant, who dared to treat him as servant? Maybe I would consider being a public servant, though my uncle Siwa made money, my boss made money, my uncle was afraid of urban administrator, my boss was afraid of tax collector.
Power conquers money here. Money conquers power there.
