These days, the lake of life seems to have waves. The biggest wave is PTCL trouble. The Pakistani has special working method. Customer in other countries will test our products before giving an order. They gives an order before test. Now our company has thirty thousand wired modem in PTCL. They find the modem can work really well in the office of PTCL, but not good at the home of users because of the distance problem.

   ADSL mainly works at a distance of 5km, but they insist on using it at a distance of 8km, or else they’d return purchase. Now the signal has a great attenuation through the distance. We have to resolve the problem urgently. By working hard, we find our output power of modem is lower than ZTE modem and that’s why ZTE modem can work well. The only way for us is trying to improve output power. Software adjustment seems not working, but hardware adjustment is strenuous. No other choice, just like a crippled person, even though he has the strongest will to run fast, it seems impossible for him to become Olympic champion.

   An hardware engineer and I will go to Pakistan at the end of this month to resolve the problem. Really need to be careful in mass production, even a tiny mistake can result in heavy loss. Every time I make software for mass production, I behave like probing for mines. Just like an order of two hundred thousand modems for OI, it’s lucky for me to find the USB driver’s not always working well in Win7, or else the result is unimaginable. I depend on my assistant to test it and he only tests it for five times. I’m really cautious and test it again for ten times. There is always one mistake while testing it for ten times.

One can’t be too careful.
