After Spring Festival, it’s 2013 now.

Originally I thought my writing was poor, but at least I could write. After interruption of several days, I can’t even write smoothly to make sure of quantity, not even to say quality.

During my stay at home, I finished Jin Yong’s The Return of the Condor Heroes. He is nice. But I think it can be better. An old saying, no best, only better. When I write something, it’s really difficult to satisfy my heart’s desire.

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms can be called model of novel. Among all kinds of writing, novel is no doubt the most popular. What’s the aim of writing? I guess most people write for readers. If one writes something without readers, there is no doubt his writing isn’t liked by people. Someone only write for himself, the status of which is really admiring. Actually only by writing for oneself, one can write really good things. If one writes something totally for himself, he can write with 100% of freedom. When you write something and decide to keep it in your own computer, then you will say anything you like.

Writing for readers is just like having public life; you have to behave according to other people’s will. Writing for yourself is just like staying alone at home and you can do everything you like. Only by staying alone at home, you can know yourself better and deeper. With the same reason, writing for yourself can make you know writing better and deeper.

Only by writing for writing, you can make writing not only writing, or else you can only make writing writing.

So many people like writing and only a few people can earn their lives by writing. Most people of the small part only write for interest. If someone buries his head into writing to earn bread, it’s a kind of dangerous thing.

There’re so many writing styles just like martial arts in Jin Yong’s novel. Yang Guo used all strong points of different kinds of martial arts to create his own martial art. Without other people’s writing styles, you can’t have your writing style. With only other people’s writing styles, you can’t have your writing style either. What’s the use of writing style? The same story, told by different people, will have very different impacts.

I can be peaceful now. Why? Because I try to treat writing as playing. Playing game for fun only and I can write for fun only too. Then I don’t have to worry about whether I can improve myself or not because rarely people worry about something while playing game.
