A month ago, a new guy Martin came to our company to be a salesman. Though he was thirty years old, he still enjoyed watching NBA and FIFA daily. During the first week, he enjoyed reading sports newspaper every day without doing anything useful. Nobody took notice of him, however, it didn’t bother him at all for he thought he was taking advantage of the company.

He had the appearance of twenty years old to make everyone mistake him for newly graduate, by the way, he was very proud of himself about that.

last night, the director told him to leave. Nobody was foolish, even though the director didn’t say anything, it didn’t mean she was foolish. Nobody was willing to pay for other people to enjoy life without doing anything useful. The common sense was that every employer was only willing to pay someone one Yuan in order to get two Yuan or more. The more the better. We had heard of Marx talking about exploitation since childhood. Actually, the fact was that if you didn’t have the value of exploitation, no employer was even willing to exploit you. If you didn’t have the capability to be an employer, the only thing you could do was to improve yourself so that you could have more value of exploitation. The fact was cruel, yet true. We mustn’t be an ostrich to ignore the cruel fact.

As for myself, I tried to improve my English and networking ability. The company I was working for was only a small company. I have three options, hardware engineer, software engineer or technical support engineer. For the first two options, I had no mentor to teach me, so I could only depend on myself and I thought that wasn’t reliable. Then I found CCIE textbook to be a good guide for my career, so I decided to be network engineer while doing the technical support stuff to hone my English and networking ability at the same time.

The only regret was that I always thought of learning English and networking to peak status and then went out to work for Cisco or Huawei something. That’s wrong. We had to learn and practice at the same time just like we use two legs to walk. What’s more, without the appropriate environment, I could never have the chance to learn networking to peak status. Router and switch, they were very expensive, I had no chance to get real ones to practice, networking simulator could never do comparing with real ones.

Let bygones be bygones. Now I tried to add python programming to my list. Investment, programming, foreign language, networking was my value of exploitation.
