Proud Peacock

576 views. 2011-11-6 09:04

Peacock is beautiful, but very proud, he’ll shake feathers, spread tail and flaunt his beauty as long as he see pretty guys.

One day, peacock perks, throws a chest, drags beautiful long tail and takes a walk along lakeside. Magpie in tree gives the time of day to him with a nod very politely, he doesn’t pay attention at all.

Suddenly, peacock finds there is a bird with the same appearance in the lake, very pretty. He stops his walk immediately, spread tail. The beautiful tail wobbles just like a colorful big fan with sprinkled gold. Who knows the bird in the lake stops his walk too, spreading tail. His beautiful tail also wobbles like a colorful big fan with sprinkled gold. Proud peacock becomes a little angry, he opened his round eyes wide, shakes head feathers. The bird in the lake also opens round eyes wide, shakes head feathers. Proud peacock becomes really angry, he perks, throws a chest, takes a big step forward, little does he think he’ll fall into the lake at one blow.

Peacock can’t swim, he struggles for quite a while and catches a root with great effort, crawls onto bank, he turns around and looks at the lake, this time he is very happy, the bird in the lake, is wet all over the body and shaking!

Magpie in tree laughs aloud. Peacock gives magpie the once-over and says unhappily,  “ugly magpie, what’re you laughing at?” Magpie flutters its wings, says, “proud peacock, the bird in the lake is your shadow! You’re too proud to think much of yourself!”

I mean, Mr. Peacock tried his best, but failed. There's no shame in trying.

Being handsome isn't his fault.
