Some people think that high school students should be given the freedom to evaluate and even criticize their teachers, while others claim that this practice will disrupt the order in classroom and lead to disrespect for teachersWhat is your opinion?

The one who teach in China has been respected and been looked like parents for 5000 years, for this reason, normally, comment and criticism is hardly any happened at the Chinese classroom.Nonetheless,I advocate students should evaluate and criticise their teachers with no worry and no control.

There are numerous reasons why the one study at school ought to be allowed or encouraged say the truth, which is in their mind, and I would like in here explain a few of the most important ones. The main reason is that it is not easiest to find teachers worth their salt,in other words, that is not all the instructor who so love their job and do well in it that we actually trust them could take good care of the children and give pupil a real correct philosophy of life,so why not let the student fight for the future themselves? It can be given a concrete example,Mao Zedong, who is regarded as a god in China ever criticized and even fired the schoolmaster.

Another reason why I advocate the attitude of encourage students to evaluate their teacher is that if evaluating and commentting freedom is be controled, children will trust every information taught by the instructor despite most of those are subjective.Take the case of a thing that Chinese students always said 'my teacher said'or'my teacher told me' without doubt before they really tasted the truth and found it is wrong by themselves.

Of course, choosing stop the rising mood which is discontented with teachers is helpful avoid the disorder and happening of students don't look up to the teachers. However if all these factors are contemplated, the advantages of let students say their say carry more weight than those of stop them. From what has been discussed above,we may finally draw the conclusion that students should evaluate and criticise their teachers.

As a teacher myself, this is quite a difficult subject to approach. Younger students will quite often give you an honest view of how good you are as a teacher - older students may not want to criticise teachers as they tend to be more respectful.

I think evaluations by students are typically more critical (and constructive!) than evaluations by inspectors or authority figures. This is because the students are with you all the time - you grow and progress towards each others goals. I like to ask students after class sometimes if they enjoyed the class, and whether it was helpful - this helps me to improve as a teacher as I can focus my next class on what they want!

I think the respect in the classroom is definately a 2-way process; the students must respect their teacher as an authority (and knowledge) figure, and the teacher must respect the demands, requirements and wants of the class.

I'm regret that it's so many discontented or disappointed notions, may I also say, well, that's a pity that it isn't you to teach me when I was young or even now at college ,though if we're going for obsessive thinking that I've given a great score to my class teacher in senior high school,he named Zhao Zhiyuan. That will be took deep effects upon the future of childern by their teachers.I think teacher is not only a wonderful job but a hard working.Good luck ``:)

teachers' self evaluation's also very important as we( being one of the teachers) should do it ourselves first to answer back those praise/critics from our students~ :)
