John is the first American man who I fell in love with at the first sight. He was my professor. A couple of years ago, when I was traveling in Tokyo, as the department head, he gave me a phone interview. A year later, I was admitted into the graduate program at his university. I arrived in Chicago in a heavy snow, and he welcomed me ahead of other faculty members in the hallway of the department building.
