the catcher in the night
hello, dear guys, it's my first time to write my englsih journal wihout worry about the accessment from my teacher. it's so amazing. i'm an ordinary girl stuying in a university. without beautiful apperance, without excellenct grade in schoolwork, i seldom borther myself to plan an extraodinary and fabulous future for me. but i always believe i can do better if i make more effort.
have you ever heard of the radio program named "the catcher in the night". sorry, i cannot find a proper translation for the chinese "ye kong shou wang zhe", so i use the parody from the book the catcher in the rye. linbai used to be the host of the program, but due to some unclear reasons, he have left the Voice of China since the he did the final program for senior three students on Feb 27, 2011. we all miss him very much. i started to listened to his program since i was in junior middle school. we've learned to protect wild animals, we've learned to care about the disavantaged group in this society, we've learnt how to be a brave warrior in the face with college entrance ect. linbai would be delighted for our sucess and he would encourage every young man to express his love to his girl. he made an effort to appeal us to embrace this cold world and make it a warm place. you know what, our auodiences call ourselves "shou wang zhe", we are poud of being one of them.
this summer holiday, i was so lucky to have the chance to go to Gan su province to serve as a voluntary teacher in local primary school with our "shou wang zhe" from other parts of China. it was an unforgettable experence in my life and we spent nearly a month with the local children. it is a special kismet that we 6 "shou wang zhe" that had nerve met each other before but with the same love for Linbai's program and the same passion for voluntary teaching, we finally made it.
now the radio program has been removed, but we "shou wang zhe" will never disappeare. and the story with shou wang zhe and miracle will nerver end.i should be thankful that i have come across Linbai and his program that had such an great impact in my life. linbai, we're growing in your voice.
is there any friend that is also a "shou wang zhe" ? i really hope to know you more and hope to make more friend here~
