Things might be totally different if he had no girlfriend then. I might have taken him wrong and bore a feeling for him. 

But he did have one and the fact is familiar to me, which also explained why it never occurred to me that something could happen between us.

Maybe that is the way life goes, just like a drama, always out of expectation.

And what makes it more beyond imagination is the boy Z. He entered into my world as the best friend of his(Y). 

We do not share the same college, but he came to live with Y for internship and postgraduate qualifying examination in the fifth year. 

So there is a likelihood we spend much time together and get to know each other well. 

He is totally different from Y in many aspects, and in fact, they almost have nothing in common. Once it bothered me a lot why they were so close.

 It just does not make sense.

He is neither good-looking nor tall. He is low-key and not much of a talker.

 But, there is a big but.

 But he is sensitive、mature、thoughtful and well-bred and so on. He never joked on me like Y did. On the opposite, he allied with me to make fun of Y which makes him well received. I even gave him a fun name: my soul mate.

In the following days, his nice personality impressed me again and again. 

He texted me if bad weather was around the corner. He sent me an umbrella in spite of the heavy rain. 

He bought me the lasted CD of my idol as a preset on Christmas Eve. 

He took my backpack on our way out. And once we went to KTV, he sang an English song which was embodied in my CD: eternal flames, my favorite one. 

He gave me a demonstration about how to wear an operating coat at the beginning of my internship and show me some skills for surgical knot, ect.

 He used to taught me the rules of roller skating and how to play poker. When there is a game, I had the privilege to cheat with him in evidence. 

If I failed something or something bad happened, he would walk me around the playground lap by lap and end up my mood with an ice cream or spun sugar.

So many good memories……
