continued form the early  part of a novel-----

I said nothing till he was done. Some insane questions just popped from nowhere kept lingering in my mind at the point of his happy life…..

How could he get engaged so soon?

How could he be so sure the idea of telling me the story on his own would work?

How could I felt so sullen and sad at the news even if I believed I have already let go?

How could he moved on while I was still processing the fact that he was no longer there for me

……….

Why?

Is it possible that, deep down, there is still some crazy part of me that thinks I am gonna wind up with him one day?

That is exactly what the fairy tale told us. It takes time for the leading man to win the girl back-the one girl.

If applied in my case, aren’t we supposed to be together?  

So not reliable.

Then it rang a bell. In a flash instant, I guess I got the answer of all the complicated issues between us, which totally made sense of everything, that I am not the one, and we are not perfect for each other, so we are not meant to be together.

Yeah, that is it, and I am OK to live with it.

I was so relieved. And by the way, I had a sound sleep that night.
