Today is Dragon Boat Festival. Did you eat zongzi, a pyramid-shaped dumpling made of a glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves? Did you take a rest with your family or still work overtime? Did you watch an exciting dragon boat race?
In my memory dragon boat festival is one of the most important traditional festivals. In this day, my mom used to insert argy wormwood leaves into windows and doors in advance and prepare a lot of delecious food including zongzi, eggs, peaches, plums and so on. And in one year my dad weaved a net pocket with several strings for me to collect those food. What a beautiful memory! Another thing we only do in this day is that we would boil the water with argy wormwood leaf and then use it to take a bath in order to keep mosquito away. In such traditional festival, the happiest thing is that all family members could come back home and have a big lunch together. Maybe that's why there is a saying that it's on the festival occasions when one misses his dear most.
However wherever you are, give a call or send a short message to your family and your friends to give your best wishes. And keep good mood in such a beautiful festival.
