busy in handling with current transformer(CT) fault

it's a drizzle day,also blew with cold wind. a tansformer substation in our operated told us that there was a CT alarm displayed on monitoring computor,the CT was used for protection of series compensation of XX power transmission line,to make sure the power was transmitted as usual and safely, so we have to check out what's wrong with it.as a technical personnel who be engaged in relay protection was arranged to handle with it with a colleague.
the CT is optical current transformer, an advanced technical used in relay protection , so it's diffcult for us to find out the problem with it at the begining ,but in the end by field inspection,we discovered a fiber-optical used to tansform sample data of the CT was broken,so we changed the broken one with a spare fiber-optical ,and also did some trials with the CT ......
