I have known the importance of an attitude of gratitude to our life for long time, but not the necessity of putting our gratitude into writing until recently. A videoed series of lecture given by a Harvard professor, Tal Ben-shachar, advocated the necessity of putting our gratitude in writing and send to the person whom we feel grateful. I think it is advisable of making our appreciation into writing for the elevation of our gratitude to a higher level and it’s benevolent effect to our well being. Therefore, hereunder I put my five gratitudes in writing:

1, My deep gratitude to my parents for giving me life and a healthy body, for the profound influence i recieved from your natural attitude toward life and a lifetime hard working for a better life, I am grateful for who I am because of you.

2, My deep gratitude to my wife. You are the most beautiful creature in the world. You are the one who I can’t live without. you are the one let me taste the sweetness of love. You are the one who makes our daughter the most loveable in the world. you are the one I miss the most in this remote country.

3. My deep gratitude to my adorable daughter. I fell in love with you on the first sight, such a delicate and beautiful thing in the world. the pure and utterly unselfish love I felt for the first time in my life gave me the purpose of life and the sense of responsibility I never experienced. Thank you so much, my dear daughter, you means everything to me.

4. My deep gratitude to my fellow friends. thank you so much, my dear friend, snowflying, for your kind companionship and comfort of words that I was seeking when I was low in mood, for your generous and benevolent attitudes towards everyone of your friends, for your passion and love to life that is never ending. Thank you very much, my new friend, davidsun, for your sparkling noble thoughts and your almost identical experience as mine and excellent English expression, I felt so much comfort of mind and a deep sense of companion with you. Thank you so much for all who have been exchanging views with me, you have broadened my life to an unlimited dimension. I do appreciate!

5. My deep gratitude to my colleagues. I am so grateful to you, mr wang, our chief engineer, for your diligent efforts in solving so many technical problems at site. King ,your brotherhood to me, wang lei, your excellent cooking for our workers, Yan, for your mild temperament and excellent design skill, all the workers of our company, for your utmost support, professional skill and never ending hard working, without which the company would never be what it is now.
