If it was me, I cannot get through. I always say in this way to others. I am talking about my boyfriend.

We met in colleague, at PE class, but we truly know each other, it was a year later. He called me for a movie and after that we talked a lot about learning English that day. He was tall, hansom, polite and easygoing; he really left a good impression on me. We became friends very soon.

We talked about every thing when we together, but I seldom heard him talking about his father, for respect, I never asked him about his family. Later, he told me that his father had passed away when his was in junior; his mother raised his brother and him by hand. He told me lot of things about his mother, I know, he loves his mother very much, since he always call his mother and prepare a gift when he go back home.

Since we know each other, he never complained about any thing in life, I know it could be very hard for him grown up in a single parent family, but no, he didn’t say a word about the hardship. He study very hard and won the scholarship in our collage and had good relationship with his classmates.

After graduation, he found a job very easily. Last year, just before he went back for New Year’s holiday, his mother fall ill seriously, his brother didn’t tell him the truth and said their mother caught a cold, when he went back, the doctor told him to be prepared, he called me and cried his heart out, how could he accept this, I couldn’t believe at all, two days’ later, just before the New Year’s Eve, his mother left us forever, when he told me I was sitting with my family enjoy the new year, suddenly I don’t know what should I say, I went to bed cried and cried, thinking about his mother, she is so kind and always wear a big smile, silver hair climbs on, wrinkles on her face, you don’t know how much she had burdened and suffered, but she still wants to give her children more, now she rest forever without enjoy a single day of happiness.

For many reasons, I couldn’t come to say goodbye to her, I couldn’t bear that seeing my boyfriend crying and heartbreaking and just see a person and then you cannot see her in the rest of your life, I couldn’t accept this. I don’t know how to comfort my boyfriend, to reduce the feeling that he is alone now in this world. Each year when people just go back for family reunion and he could only face the empty house.

I didn’t tell my family our little thing because they afraid that I will be far away from them, when I told this to my parents and my brother, I saw tears in my mother’s eyes, they told me to treat my boyfriend well instead of blaming me. I feel so touching and happy to have my patents, I am so lucky.

Whenever I saw sadness on my boyfriend’s face, I keep thinking, god, why are you do mean to my boyfriend? You already took his father away and now you took his mother, what are you envy for him?

I told my boyfriend that, don’t be sad, you have me and my whole family, we love you as much as your mother.
