When we talking about teacher, a bright image suddenly appears in my mind and teachers are labeled as the greatest people under heaven. It is true in my opinion, because a good teacher can affect a person’s whole life. And I am lucky to had lots of caring, kind and responsible teachers.

Before I came to Shenzhen, I never thought that not every student has the chance and right to choose their own school as they like. In my home town, we can go any school as long as you are in the age. Not matter where you live, not matter your parents owns a house or not, have a job or not, everyone is equal to go to school.

But here in Shenzhen, what I am seeing is beyond my nerve. This is the true story of my colleague. My colleague owns a house in Shenzhen somewhere, the house is large and comfortable, she said that she never turn on the air-condition, she didn’t even install one, because it is very cool in her house, wind can blow through her room, what she need to do is just open the window.   

The problem arise later when her daughter have to go to school, but in their reign, there is no good primary school in her opinion, so she decided to sell her big house and to buy a new one which provides school position. She went to find a house every day after work, and finally she got one. When everything was ready, she invited us to her new house; it is located near a park, at the foot of a hill, on the first floor, very small one, she put a bed in the living room, and the dining room is outside the house in the front yard, she leave the best room to her daughter, because he room contains a window, there is a double deck bed, a desk for her to do homework. Next is her room, not big either, no window, just a bed for her and her husband, she made a book shell on the wall so that she can put something there. Her kitchen and water room is in the aisle between her house and another one, she told us that she asked someone to build a wall in front and behind the aisle, in that case, the space is enlarged a lot.

It is obvious that my colleague is quite proud of her work. Her daughter went to the school as she dreamed last year. But one day I heard that she went to school to have a talk with the headmaster. It was said that the head teacher in her daughter’s class didn’t allow other students to play with her daughter, and even talk with her. My colleague got very angry about this, she have a quarrel with the young teacher, she said that it was unreasonable to do such things to a little girl, it would affect the rest of her life, just because she didn’t want to sleep after lunch, and her daughter was asked to stand in the back of the classroom, she even asked to stand outside too. Later on, the young teacher told the headmaster that if my colleague’s little girl kept in her class, she would resign, let the headmaster chose.

The result is that, the teacher didn’t resign, and the girl still in the class, but went to headmaster’s office after lunch. You want to know what happened in the middle. I found out later, that my colleague sends a diamond necklace to the headmaster and the young teacher to make them shut up. My colleague said that almost every parent send gifts to teachers, because they are rich, they didn’t want their children were looked upon by others.

Then, I felt so lucky that most of my teachers are kind and caring me a lot. Although there were one or two teachers that treat me differently, I just knew it and tried not to be affected by them.
