I was translating some documents, piles of translation tasks to fulfill, and seemingly an endless sweet torture...when something, something special suddenly stole into my occupied mind.
Monster. Pictures of monsters pour into my brain like mad.
Alright, looking out of the window, letting this stream of wild imagination once again capture my Kidult soul.
Remember, as a little boy, what seemed to be the most important part of your world of imagination?
Monsters. Yeah, Daniel, as a little boy, was always dreaming there were monsters, powerful monsters, evil monsters, wild and free monsters in this world!
Till I was able to read the encyclopedia. The knowledge of the Loch Ness in the Western World, in which there might have lived a deep water monster, cool!
What does it look like?
Actually monster forms mostly derives from those of the dinosaurs. Even the Loch Ness monster is no exception. Again and again it is said that people have witness the floating back of this very monster or sometimes they have seen the long neck of the monster.
Ain't this cool?
With the years passing, I kind of know nine out of ten the Loch Ness could not boast a monster. Pictures or so called evidence showing the monster are nothing more than vague image. The long neck might be that of a standing-on-end log against some boat, and the big wild humped back might have been some big fish's fin or something like that.
That scientist said the monster could have survived through all these years after the extinction of the dinosaurs cannot stand. And science fictions record that the monster might have broken some time machine or have found some hole in the time tunnel. Unimaginative!
But I still wish monsters exist in this world. That's why scientists are going into the deep forest or the jungle, so as to find unknown species.
I don't know what kind of things are inside children's mind nowadays, but in my days monsters played the most important part. Monsters let our wild imaginations wander.
Monsters let us boys sour instead of sink in front of difficulties for the moment we think about the powerful capacity of monsters, we insist on solving our problems.
Monster, the beauty of the unkown wild wild world, keep on living in men's hearts.
PS. My heart was pounding wildingly as I was searching the monster pictures. For once again, it is they, monsters, excite the tired soul of the working class.
