When I was in college, my teacher giving lectures on cultures often asked us to translate lines from the "Dream of the Red Mansions".

To be honest, I read the novel only once, whose theme and plot(does it have a plot, I don't think so)ain't no good. The story goes that a boy born with a silver spoon in his mouth, not having to work to earn his living, also isolated from the rest of all flesh, only plays upon girls, women, and loving affairs. What a dirty story.

But I have to admit that some of the lines were well written, thus I took notes of them. Today while flipping through the pages I found the journal.

And well, I would like to share with you guys these beautiful lines. But another thing, try to translate all these lines with your thoughts.

I know there is translated version of the novel, please don't copy that one here. I want what you guys feel about these lines and how you translated them.

As for myself, I haven't figured out some of the meaning of the Chinese words. I need time and time is what I need.

 

Last but not least, I'd often heard some guys say"天下掉下一个林妹妹"

I'd gone through the novel once, but I really felt a thing for 林黛玉，who is really cute. I like this kind of girls.
