Pathetic is he who is willing to believe scraps of quotations from those opportunists and benthamites hither and thither have put on a high pedestal along the stream of human history.
He thus thinks not what springs to his mind, consequently acting not based upon his will. He makes a loser now in life out of himself for his mind has achived incompleteness already.
Seemingly he adopts the tide of society, yet he is a fool, for the act of traveling is a fool’s paradise.
Why not trust yourself?
Trust thyself, for every heart vibrates to that iron string.
Call yourself a pessimist valiant rather than a jay knowing not his base.
What I must do is all that concerns me, not what other people think.
Aye, time must come when you sense you lag the wave of society and you are not receiving the triumph which you have long set out to obtain.
Be flesh and bones and feel now as you might the distress sharp. Whosoever would be a man must be a nonconformist, but never a saint. Work on a revolution by the means of your own self-motivated views. All boils down to self-reliance--isn’t it said to the age of first person sigular?
At last nothing is sacred but the integrity of your own mind.
P.S. Having read fragments of Ralph Waldo Emerson's "Self-reliance" once again, I wrote down such an essay to share with y'all. The essay I have penned lives in the form of Medieval English, perchance my mind has not yet shifted from the lines of Emerson or I feel it a better way to express the sentimentality attached to the ancient neverland.
