My Plan for Mid-Autumn Holiday 2011-9-7
One of my best friends mentioned to pay my parents a visit for many times, but it hasn’t fulfilled yet. As the Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, she decided to go to my hometown with me. When I released the news to my parents, they were overjoyed. “When will you come back? What does she like to eat? How about make some dessert? Am I needed to prepare anything for you both?” Mom kept on asking questions. “Mom, I want to have a short journey with her in our hometown and stay one day and night at home. What’s your idea?” I said. “It is a precious chance; why not stay at home instead. Besides your Dad and I want you both have a relax holiday at home”. Mom said in an expectant tone. I was persuaded by her somehow.
I have got loads of things needed to take home; luckily, I have a good brother who will be my deliverer. Ha!~ Having a brother sometimes is really good. So I may enjoy a carefree journey to home.
I am still thinking how to schedule our time. The first day I want to go home early so that we may enjoy lunch with my parents. In the afternoon, I want to go to farmland with my best friend. I think she must be very happy and surprise because my Dad plants many trees as well as fruits, my Mom grows a wide variety of vegetables. I will show her my plants too. We can enjoy eating everything fresh in the evening.
The second day I desire Dad could guide all of us to Guanghai seashore. Wow, we can enjoy the sea, seafood and the work of nature there greedily. How gorgeous! But brother said that he will go home at Sunday afternoon. Hope he will change his idea…
The third day must be a hectic day for Mom. Yes, its Mid-Autumn day. So I plan to travel on bicycle with my best friend. How cool it will be, I haven’t ridden bike for several years. It must be an amazing experience. Where is our destination? I am still thinking.
The forth day I will go for morning tea with my family, buy some gifts for friends. After lunch I will go back to GZ. So I could put an end to my short journey.

- my colleagues plan to have a dinner together, one of my male colleagues is good at cooking and he would like to cook for us, since most of us are far from home.

- Aside from being SAD (Sorrowful Anguished & Distressed), my plan for MAD (Mid-Autumn Day) is simple. It involves one thing, and one thing only - THE MOON CAKES! Yum yum!
But oh, I almost forgot I'm still standing in awe of those inflated price tags I spotted this afternoon on a wall shelf full of huge boxes with little brown cakes inside, when I was doing my shopping in a supermarket. Even with the 30% off coupon, the prices are still unbelievable. Naaah... guess I have to learn to settle for the second best and let Key Lime Pie be my new XXL moon cake dressed in cream.
