You Reap What You Sow 2011-9-27

There was a man who tramped in the desert for two days. On the way, he knocked up against sandstorm. After baptized by a blast of sand, he couldn’t even recognize which was the correct direction. As he almost collapsed, suddenly he found a ramshackle hut. He dragged his whacked body stepped in the house, there were stack of rotted woods inside. He seemingly despairingly got to corner of the house; accidentally he discovered a water pump.

He went over to the pump excitedly, no matter how hard he tried to pump; he failed to get even a drop of water out from there. So he sat on the ground despondently, but he turned up a tiny bottle that plugged up a cork and there was a slip of yellowish paper. There’s what written on the paper: You must apply water into the pump to bring in water. Before your departure, never forget to fill up the bottle. He unplugged the cork, sure enough he detected the bottle was full of water!

He was filled with bewilderment and bemused for making a decision.

If he was selfish and drank up the water in the bottle, he might certainly not die of thirst but survived to get out of the hut for a while. If he did as the note and putted the only water into the pump, in case of the water gone without return, he might end up his life in there because of thirty absolutely.

Eventually, he determined to fill the shabby as well dilapidated pump with the exclusive water, his hands drew the pump quiveringly. Miraculously, a large quantity of water poured out from the pump.

He not only quenched his thirst, but this time his canteen can serve him for some time too. Before his departure, he filled up the bottle thankfully and satisfactorily and made sure the plug was in and then he added his own words into the original note: Believe me, it is useful for sure. Before taking, we should learn to give.
