      Dear Huangdi101, I am so glad to read your employment Ad that you are looking for a nanny. I shall lose no time to present myself to you as I love children so much. I am Smiling Angel who is a professional childcarer with a minimum of three years full time experience in childcare. I have obtained First Aid and CPR training for children and infants and I have also studied nutrition, health and safety for two years. 

      I once worked for Mr. Smith's family, for nearly three years.  Our job relationship came to an end when they had to immigrate to another country.  I was so sad to leave the children and say goodbye to the family because we got along with each other so well.  Now, I miss them so much. It’s really comforting that your advertisement gives me a hope to carry out my love for children again. I have got a good solid recommendation from my former employer who says “I love this lady, she’s the best, and she really takes care of my kids”. I hope this referral can convince you a bit.

      I was responsible for all the domestic routines related to the care of children such as bathing them, preparing formula meals, changing bed-linen, bed-making, washing and ironing the children’s clothing, towels and maintaining the children’s rooms and play areas in a clean and tidy state. I reckoned, a nanny’s prime responsibility is to meet all the physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs of your child. That means I have to make sure your baby is getting a balanced diet, has plenty of activities to stimulate development, loads of encouragement and, of course, lots of cuddles when needed.

      The best part about being a nanny is that I act as a very integral part and have a big impact on that child’s life. The family look forward to seeing me, they are happy to see me in the morning, and I have a very close bond with the children. It can be very rewarding when I teach a child to ride a bike and the steps and so on. All these things are very rewarding to work as a nanny.

      You might find that using a nanny is an attractive option because of the one-to-one care and attention. The fact that the nanny comes to you, rather than the other way around, can mean your child’s home routine is less disrupted. It is certainly more convenient for you, as you will be able to set off work without having to rush your child out of the house too. To choose this type of care option is not only for greater convenience, safety, but also job flexibility. After all, if your child is safely at home with a responsible carer, getting stuck in traffic or working late may lessen a family’s stress.

Dear Smiling Angel,

I have read through your presentation and your interest on becoming the family nanny.   Before, we had an excellent nanny whom served us for several years, a Miss Fan Bing Bing.  She was a beautiful, kind, and attentive young girl but sadly I had to say goodbye to her so she could pursue her career in acting.  Now she has become a famous star and my son has missed her alot.  You will have some pretty exciting shoes to fill to replace Miss Fan, but I am sure you can do the job because, as you stated in your presentation, you are an "attractive" option.  

Let me just give you a bit of a background then.  My son is 6 years old now, just started studying elementary level in one of the city's finest schools.  He can be a handful, quite naughty, hates studying, watches too much television.  I hope that you could use your great skills to encourage him to have good virtues, habits, and also to view studying not as a boring chore forced upon children, but rather a fun and exciting method of improving one's self.  He eats almost anything and I am sure you will do just fine with your formulas.  Other than that, we sometimes require you to stay with him while his mother and I go on short trips or if we have late night work.  My son not only needs a nanny, but also a responsible and caring friend to guide and nurture him towards adulthood.  After reading your presentation, I feel you are exactly what I need in a nanny.  It is my pleasure to inform you, Smiling Angel, you are hired!
