Last month, I went to New Zealand for a conference, then I had chance to have a short visit of New Zealand, However, the journey was not so easy. I flew from Beijing to Pudong, Shanghai, and then waited for 3 hours in airport. After that, I took the plane to Auckland. Finally, I arrived Wellington, the capital of New Zealand by another flight. From my home to hotel in New Zealand, I took 27 hours on the way.

During the trip from airport to hotel in Wellington, I talked with the taxi driver. I asked that what is the famous local dish? Lamb and beef. Not so special. During my staying at New Zealand, I tasted some foods. Not so special is good answer. Many restaurants in this small city, all kinds of food could be found. I have meals in Chinese, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Mexico and Greece restaurants. As a matter of fact, Chinese food is my favorite, which is Guangdong dish. Roast goose and rice noodle is very delicious.

Another special local product is milk for baby. I bought ten buckets of milk powder for my daughter. This is a little cheaper comparing buying in China. The most important is that quality should be good. The fresh air and clean grass in New Zealand is famous in the world.

The interesting thing is the traffic. Like England, the driver seat is on the right in the car and they drive on the left on the road. One of my colleagues rented a car because the hotel was so far from the meeting room. I did not see how he drove the car.

The last thing I hope to write in this Blog is the new movie the hobbit: An unexpected Journey had first show in Wellington during my staying. The director Peter Jackson who directed the lord of the rings was born in Wellington. The actors and director walked on the red carpet in this city. I went to have a look. So many fans gathered in this street. I can see nothing but people. This was very big party for this country. As I know, Yao Chen also joined this red carpet show, his beautiful cloth and style got a best in one week by Red Carpet Fashion Awards website.
