Last Saturday, I joined a gathering of friends, it’s been half a year since we met last meet. We have known each other more than 16 years. At the party, we talked about the changes of everyone, and remembered the past things when we worked in a university in Beijing. All of us still kept the positive attitudes, except for some white hairs and a few wrinkles.

At that time, we just graduated from the college, and we worked together and played together. We were so young that we had a plenty of spare time to enjoy. The most favorite game of us was playing card named GouJi, which was coming from QingDao, and it was the most popular card game. Sometimes we did cooking in weekend or went to the Ming Tombs Reservoir by bike. We spent a cheerful time there, and supported each other to overcome the difficulties; it was just like the famous American TV series “Friends”. Every time, when I watch this video, I will remember that good time. A few years later, all of us left the university. Some of us were transferred to the general headquarters of a big state-owned firm except me. I gave up this chance for my personal reason; I went to an IT company and began my new life from then on. Nowadays, I’m very glad to see that my friends have become the leaders.

Several times, someone asked me if I regretted for my choice to leave that well-known state-owned firm, I said no. I gained a lot through my effort these years, and learned more and more knowledge and skills. I never feel lonely because so many good friends are still standing around me.
