I know hard work is almost a part of everyone’s life and I exhaust all possibilities to my work. But when your efforts always have been complained, how upset it feels, especially when you are working in a new and small company. That’s what happened to me.

According to my contract, I have been employed to take responsibilities in Project Management, Sales & Marketing and other functions, including R&D, when necessary.

Based on this contract, now I’m doing almost everything in the company except making major decisions and doing experiments & analysis. I have to take care of project management, find out potential customers and visit them, get all the necessary licences/permit from governments, purchasing raw materials, gases, consumables, stationery, tissues, hand washing liquid, etc., almost everything needed for the lab. At the end of every month, prepare monthly report, the invoice to Mother Company and statistics pending payment. Besides, I also have to deal with daily issues like file documents, check letter box, go to our account company to collect letters, prepare the cover letter and send letters by post, pay the bills, scan and photocopy, order drinking water, hand with bad lab cleaning service, bla bla bla… In other words, I, alone, charge of Sales & Marketing Dept, Purchasing Dept, Financial Dept, Logistics Dept …whatever it is.

I’m not complaining as I’m willing to do these when needed. To some content, this means I’m be trusted or my position is not be made light of. But, I really don’t want to hear of any word similar like you are doing nothing, just play cards. Empty vessels make the most sound. Please respect other people's work outcomes even they sound not so good.

Nevertheless, I like my job and I’m trying to make it as better as I can. Today, I wrote this note is to dish out plenty of my pain to make me feel better to do a better job.
