- I once spilled coffee on to my keyboard. The sticky sugar lumped the dust and lots of dirt together. Eventually I had to remove each and every key to clean it. Still Can't clean it properly so I used a wet cloth to clean the base of the keyboard, but unfortunately, the water leaked into the keyboard circuit board and damaged it. We get used to our own keyboards and the newer ones don't seem to be so suitable.
