We recognize the value and treasure of the living only in our backward glance when we remenbered what it was and then suddenly realize that it is no more. We remember a beauty that faded, a love that waned. But we remember with far greater pain that we didn't see that beauty when it flowered, that we failed to respond with love when it is tendered. Such is our life. We cannot turn back as we flow with time and tide. Nostalgia is a kind of fatal disease. If we shed tears when we miss the sun, we will also miss the stars.

Is there anyone out there who won't be happy to see his photo when he was 2 years old? Won't you be excited to see photos of you and your tiny young friends? Won't you feel happy remincing the old days when you were playing with you tiny friends?
Nostalgia is certainly not a fatal disease. It is a cure for our realities and depression.

But you missed the point that sometimes someone who lacks the courage and confidence to face up to the reality just indulges himself too much in the past gloriousness becasue of the current plight that he cannot even forward， which is rather pathetic. To those people nostalgia, the excuse, is sure to be a fatal disease.

- for some people, i do believe it could be a fatal disease. yes we can't live in the past. however, we can take delight in looking back or reminscing the old days. it is human nature.
