Ten years has gone by

I can still remember the day when I entered my senior high for the first time in August, 2002. It had rained heavily for days and the road, the bridge and even the campus was flooded. I waded across the schoolyard in the rain with my ambition as well as the luggage, accompanied by my parents. Then began my life in senior high, which may be the most memorable period when looked backwards. There I came across the closest friend, the most admirable teacher and the myself with lofty aspiration.

I still remember the days we played a trick on our most loved teacher--Lao K and talked back to him in a funny way in math class. I still remember the days when we discuss the puzzles in math and physics which were, are and will be always too hard for generations of girls to figure out the answers. I still remember the days when we laughed at the boys, calling them illiterate cause it seemed that few of them were good at Chinese and English. I still remember the nights when we sneaked out of the campus, slipped into the net bar and stayed there online for a whole night after evening class, being sleepy and risking being punished by our teacher the next day.

I still remember the nights when I walked along the streets under the dim streetlamps with my best friend, talking about our joys and sorrows, which are really nothing big deal nowadays but it did matter to us then. I still remember the night when I walked alone along the streets back and forth under the same dim light, asking myself in which city and with whom I would appreciate the street lights the next year, which I'm still wondering.

I still remember the day many years ago, when my deskmate sang a song by Eason Chan--Ten Years, in class for all our classmates. Ten years ago, we were so familiar and close to each other and ten years later we still are, insomuch as we share the past. When the melody comes up, I do believe many of us will shed tears--"Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind..." Those were the days we thought they would never end, but ten years has gone by. However, whatever with the past has gone, the best is always yet to come.

Ten years ago , I was a 11-year-old tomboy whom used to defend girls against all tease from boys in the class , always fighting & competing with them...until now I realized I actually breaked many girls relationships with boys unconsciously...lol~~
however , I enjoyed those childhood times freely and happily...
