In the last blog (An Impressive Interview), a friend suggested I share some improvement of oral English. As an interviewer and interviewee, I would like to recommend some tips about English interview skill at first. I think I’m qualified to talk about interview something due to my HR experience.

1.       Prepare an English self-introduction at least even though you maybe don’t speak English for a long time.

Usually, for ordinary positions, the interviewer let the candidate make a brief self-introduction at first to break ice and take easy. Sometimes HR feels and has a false impression that your English is good to read and write if your self-introduction is fluent. Of course the pre-condition is that HR does not to go on next test.

The self-introduction would better be simple and clear, including your work experience and achievement at least. I suggest write the introduction down and take along. So you could be convenient to read it everywhere and deal with the sudden interview calls. But it is not too long or else you are hard and worried to remember. Besides, HR would feel boring also in your interview especially you have bad pronounce.
