Meet the Challenge
The other day I received a phone call and was told to launch a speech for a group of junior middle school students who have just graduated from elementary school. Now they have been admitted by a local private middle school and take part in the English summercamp.
Honestly it is such a big challenge, for I have left junior middle school for so many years and I suppose there may be some generation gap between us. I'm afraid I can not easily find topics we all care aboutr and interests we all share. Middle school students nowadays are more mentally mature than us when we used to be at their position.
Despite the difficulties and uncertainties, I will have a try. Make good preparation and behave myself, since I can perform excellently in my English speech class, I can also speak in front of middle school students.
I believe, I can.
By the way, Friends, would you mind offering me some good suggestions?

- to be honest,middle school students are not as simple-minded as we expected ,your speech should be interesting and not too long,it helps lots if you use humor to start with and interact with them.anyway,be natural and confident is alwalys appreciative,GOOD luck!you can!

- maybe you can begin with a story ,of course it cann't be too long .or play a game with them ,and so on ,you should find the topic interested in them and let themselves go and ask question they want .if they are wrong ,pld doon't piont the mistake out directly,their confident and initiative will injured .you can survey from the middle school students around you ,maybe they will give you a good suggestion.
