This monday, the time was about PM6:00, all my colleagues left the office after work except my boss and i, cause i was busy with some important work. My boss came and told me something about his secretary. The general idea was that the secretary heard the story about my resigning, which was normal for a secretary to get to know something secret, and she of course should keep all the secrets about the boss. However she didn't, she told my story to another colleague, who got well along with her. My boss was a little bit dissapointed with her improper behavior, and told me that if they verified with me, just said nothing happened.
At that moment i was so surprised for the secretary's mistake, and felt a little pity for her work, cause she was a kind and hard-working girl, and kept a good relation with all of us all along. Damn, It was the sympathy that made me sink into a difficult position.
Next day the secretary and i went out for lunch, i implied her with our boss's comment for her mistake, and told her not to say anything to anybody. She promised she would not. You know, i just hoped my words was useful for her career, since i was a senior and she just began her career for 3 years.
However, two hours later, she rushed into our boss's office, contested for her innocence with tears in her eyes. You can imagine how surprised my boss was, and he of course was aware that it was I that made him face the embarrassed condition. He was very angery and dissapointed with me, considering me as a delator. I even couldn't raise any words to pleed for myself, so I burst into a rage for her ignoble betray. For her own benefit, she chose to betray, though she was very clear with the outcome that i would be pushed into the awful situation. Our boss would regard me as a trustless person, which is a deadly for my career.
No words can express my depression and anger. She really taught me a serious lesson, that NEVER believe any person in work.
