As the modern society goes ahead quickly, we can enjoy many kinds of food in one city, for example, Sichuan food, Guangdong food... i live in Shanghai, most of restaurants supply local food (本邦菜), which is typically delicate, mild, and suitable for us residents in Shanghai. at the same time, more and more restaurants opened to supply other kinds of food, including domestic different local food such as sichuan food, guangdong food, shangxi food, dongbei food etc, and other overseas food, such as Japanese food, Korea food, Tailan food, France food etc.
i think this must owe to the condition that more and more people from other provinces and other countries are streaming into Shanghai, they bring much skills and productivities, as well different cultures and food. of course this absolutely does much favor to Shanghai residents, and more and more younger shanghaiese are loving spicy food, while which is unacceptable for their eldership.
here, there must be some persons who are very interested in different delicious food, and eager for trying new tastes. i have a colleague who is very crazy to taste different food. we all believe that her life only consists of eating except work and sleep. hehe, once she has any free time, she would be busy with searching for new-opened or recommended in internet restaurants, and then hurry to taste it after work even if the restaurant is very far from our company. of course she holds all the informations, when the restaurant would discount, which card could be used, where the restaurant would open a new chain restaurant... thus we prefer to consult her when we want to have a dinner, and she would be very fervent to introduce, sometimes the place is unfamiliar to her, she would try her best to search for us. it is funny, isn't it? but she enjoys it, including the process of searching.
