The pain caused by a strict diet plan is often not starvation, though may be part of the trouble, but loneliness. Because when you are on a diet, you eat alone, drink alone, and execise alone. In addition, a hungry person is never a happy person, and you suffer mood swing and anxiety, which can be clearly felt by people around you,is usually mistaken for bitterness and hostility towards them. As a result, people try to stay away from you as far as possible. And soon people who don't know you that well may feel that you are unsociable because you don't eat with others. And then their perception of you influences your self-image and you begin to think yourself as a lonely wolf.
Finally you end up hating them because that'll make you feel better. If you have to be alone anyway, why bother thinking in other's favor anyway?
Diet is a DIE with a T.I've been there and I know too well.
But blessed are those who want to get rid of those extra pounds. They are bound to encounter loneliness, and
will learn to observe and think as they try to sort out the root of their emotional suffering.
