In terms of predicting the future, some people choose to regard it in an optimistic way while others prefer thinking of it objectively, and in my mind we should consider things in an appropriate way.

On one hand, people hold the belief that we should be optimistic all the time since they think that we should look at the positive aspect of everything especially when we are in trouble which help us to fight with the feeling of hopelessness, in this sense, there is some truth in asserting that we should be optimistic in some cases, however, that’s not the whole story as if we are too optimistic or overoptimistic in some cases which will make us be extremely upset or disappointed after knowing the results which is totally different from what we anticipated in the sense of optimistic.

On the other hand, others consider that we should analysis or treat things in an objective way since in an objective mind, we could predict the results discretely and this means that the outcome will not be worse in some extent as we has already consider almost the worst condition about it. Moreover, in some cases, because we appraisal such a outcome in an cautious way, we will get a better result compared with what we expected sometimes, which will make us feel much better compared with getting a disappointed result but thinking of it optimistically.
