a cancer patient

Today I received a new patient, who is a man and 37 year old, with a huge tumor in the right side of his liver. The diameter of tumor is about 11cm, and CT scanning reports there is already metastasis inside the liver. Embolism probably has been developped in the portal system. Often we call this late term hepatic cancer.
Actually, there are no other effective methods except operation. But that is full of risks. And that is the only little hope for the patient. But the patient insist on asking us to conduct the operation for him. Truly, death is a scared thing for everyone, everyone seeks to survive. We doctors also want to help patients although sometimes we really have no good resolutions for this type of patients.
Every time when facing this kind of patients, I would feel pity for them. Actually, 3 years age ,this patient have found there is a very small carcinoma in his liver, but he didnot value it, and just took some chinese medication. I want to say, Chinese medication is totally useless for his carcinoma. If he could come to our hospital 3 years ago, he could get a very good cure. So its really a pity for him.....
This patient just reflect many Chinese people they come from rural places, wont go to doctor when there is small problem with their body. And once big healthy problem, its hard for them to get good cure, or they fail to pay for the expensive medical fee.
Actually, physical examination every year is so important for the prevention of severe diseases, hope everybody can cherish our own body.

- Keep fitness is so vital for everybody of us, it is reported that in every six minutes there is a people diagnosed with cancer in our country which is really terrible. With the development of medical technology, some kinds of cancers are not so incurable, at least we can try helping out to see if there are some methods to treat it in advance, but the lack of conception of self awareness of physical examination and some bad life styles due to have cancers. Body is a precise machine in the nature, once we feel not good, there must be something wrong in some parts of body tissue, if we can pay seriously attention about it, mostly, we could have the chance to avoid having it get worse, and then stop it spreading.

You have an important sacred task of treating people with terminal diseases and I contribute to the GDP and economy of China by selling Chinese products to far flung foreign countries and at the same time earn myself a good income and secure life. Your contributions are certainly greater than me as you have to undergo extensive studies, research and efforts to reach your current status. You actually save lives and cure people of terrifying diseases. Without health, nothing can be achieved. Allow me to congratulate you for your selfless contributions to the well being of desperate patients. Your compassion really touched my heart as you not only treated your patients but also connect to them emotionally. This has also changed my impression about doctors.
