Now here I am, an ordinary person who leading a reasonable comfortable life, still far from the goals I’ve been struggling for. Strangely, no frustration, no depression, I am even happy with where I am. Because I realize no matter how magnetic those temptations might be, there are things more important in life. 

Independence   

   There is a shortcut to the fortune. It is easy, convenient and simple. However you have to swap it with your own independence. It sounds like a real bargain, but think twice before you make your decision. I’ve paid a lot to be independent. Sometimes I ask myself why take so much troubles to live on my own. Why not scrounge, or just live on the others? I have my parents to count on, besides that I can simple marry off to a rich person to solve the problems. But I know I can not afford to lose my independence. It’s the resource where my confidence, my ability coming from. Independence also means freedom and security for me. It gives me the power to be free from the influence and control of the others. And only when I know I can copy with any other problems in life by myself, I would not be afraid of the unknown future.

The ability to love

When you grow up, you realize that love is not just the happy ending in fairy stories. Love can hurt and it requires you to make sacrifice sometimes. If you get scared and don’t want to make any move, you will gradually loose your ability to love. Then you will find your life is thrown into a complete hell. Love is the only thing can let your guard down in this world. Losing it is like to burn your heart a hole, which you could never fill with money or great fame.

Dignity

     With so many successful cases of shooting to fame over night, we seemed to have another option to obtain fame and fortune----disgrace yourself in public as much as you can. But you’d better consider the great challenges and pressures you must face if you take this way. On top of that, such disgrace can only bring you instant fame. Once you bored the public, you will have to lead a life without any dignity. The chance of you to regain the other’s trust and respect is quite slim.

      The above three things might get in the way to my pursuit of fortune and fame. Still I follow up their calls without any question. I know if I break of their fetters, I would be nothing but a walking corpse. They are the meanings of life.
