Phoebe Buffay

What's make Phoebe so unique? It's her offbeat, eternally optimistic nature.
Despite all adversity in her life, she sill displays a pleasant upbeat personality. Meanwhile, she is the strange combination with both wisp and tough. That's another reason why I like Phoebe: she can fight; she can stand up to anybody once she is confronted. From an out-of-key folk singer to a masseuse, she takes a runaway lifestyle and never fails to cheer me up with her witty remarks.

Background: Complicated as complicate could be. Her stepmother committed suicide; her stepfather went to jail, her twin sister, who she dislikes most, starred in blue movie under her name. She was Monica's ex-roommate but moved to her grandmother's old apartment because Monica was a neat freak.

Hobby: 1) sings very unique lyrics like" Smelly cat". Terry, a coffee bar's owner, once gave such a comment on her song: " it's not that your friend sings bad... it's that she sings so bad that she makes me want to gouge my ears out and reach in and swirl my fingers inside my brain."
2) Cleanse people's auras. Phoebe believes she can talk to the dead person, and she divined her death date to be October 15, 2032

The crazy things Phoebe has done: Too many to write them all down. Including: give birth to triplets for her half-brother, keep rat as pet, once live in a box, using the Chelsea Reporter to keep her warm and survive!

Romance: Phoebe's love adventure dates back when she was 14. After her mother's suicide, she got involved with a guy who washed car windows, and he also killed himself. She dates a lot after that, but no one is particular until her eventual husband Mike shows up.

Monica Geller Bing

She is the essence of rules and neatness, a high school outcast who made good, a warm-hearted friend with a steady soul and a frustrated daughter whose parents always give priority to her brother Ross. Merely for one reason, we will love Monica forever: she would never let us go hungry.

Hobby: 1) All the household chore. Cleaning is absolute on the top of the list.
2) Game. The problem is any game with Monica's participation would be no fun any more because of her neurotic need to follow the rules.

The most awkward thing happened to Monica: Have a sex with her husband and peered by her own father. What a shock!

Romance: Teenage Monica is not lucky with love. As a fat girl, she was always teased and left out in the cold. But after trimming down from high school fatty, the tide of life turns to be favourable on Monica. Her hookups included: millionaire-with-a-wide streak Pete; hunky older man Richard and, of course Chandler.

Rachel Green

A runaway bride at the beginning of the show. She was supposed to marry a dentist, but she run away after she discovered the fact she loved the wedding gifts more than her would-be husband. After that, she began her unfinished journey toward independence and adulthood.

Hobby: 1) Shopping, which finally land her on a job as purchase assistant
2) Manage to look fabulous and sport trendsetting hairstyles despite lack of capital.

The funniest thing about Rachel:
1)The look on her face while her friends forced her to lose her father's credit cards and gain a backbone.
2)As a sweetheart of an American princess, Rachel's perfection inspired an " I hate Rachel Green Club". And there are only two members in this club, one is her more than once and forever on screen lover: Ross. The other is starred by her off screen husband: Brat Pete.

Romance: She is a heartbreaker for sure but a victim too. She once had a crush on her assistant Tag. This relationship she regarded as deep and meaningful despite the fact she even didn't know Tag's last name. Except Ross, Joey and Coffee Café's owner felt for her too.

Joey Tribbiani
A happy-go-lucky guy. He is a boy at 30s who refused to grow up. With his broad-shouldered, wide-eyed, thickheaded and sweat nature, he is a man women loves to hate.

Hobby: 1) dates beautiful girls with no commitments.
2) Eats like a glutton. If you have a friend like Joey, you will never be bothered by the question: how to deal with the leftovers? Basically, Joey could eat any food.

The cutest thing about Joey:
1)He never realizes if we are laughing at him, not with him.
2)When Rachel wrongly thought he was proposing marriage, and Rachel accepted.
Romance:
Out and in the relationships too often. But only one person is his steadiest partner: his beloved apartment mate: Chandler

Chandler Bing

A smart guy who likes to sat there and watched things happen to other people, and commented on them with his wisecracks. A man who struggled hard to fight his sensitive psyche and many insecurities.

Hobby: Make sarcastic jokes and never failed to annoy the others with them.

The sweetest thing he has done:
Invented a betting game he could lose while playing with Joey, so he could give his cash-strapped friend needed money without injuring Joey's pride.

The most terrible thing happened to Chandler:
His awful former girlfriend Janice keeps returning like a rash. Chandler thought he was doomed to stay with her forever.

Romance:
From best friend to love mate, Monica successful save him from a loser in love to be a husband and father.

Ross Geller

Monica's helpless brother. He is an expert in his field---palaeontology, but flubs everything else. Goes to a hockey game, takes a puck in the face. Goes to a funeral, falls into an open grave. Tries to find love and tumbles into three divorces.

Played by: David Schwimmer

Hobby: make a fool of himself. Including once struggles mightily to get into a pair of tight, sweaty leather pants during a date.

His three marriage:

1)  First he married Susan, but she went away with another woman, pregnant. So he had his first illegal child.
2)  He said wrong name in his second glorious wedding. It led to another divorce a mother later.
3)  At third time, he seemed to marry the right person: Rachel who owned his heart since high school but at the wrong time and wrong place: Las Vegas and they totally drunk. It ended even before beginning.
