The clothes we obtained during our little shopping trip still scattered on the hotel’s bed, and there were foods, drinks and everything we need to throw a slumber party. So why not? It was almost midnight, but fueled by beer and coffee, the three of us were still going strong.

Girls, wake up and time for Big G word: Gossip.

“It is not about money, really. If he gave me something pretty---even it was from some shabby stall at a flea market, although I doubt there would be anything interest there. Anyway, the point is, as long as he gave me something with a little taste, I would be grateful. BUT NO. It was the ugliest thing I ever seen! What’s wrong with him? To give me a nasty cheap plastic strap like that ---I am not saying I am trendy or something, but at least I have some sense of beauty, am I? ---and he presented it to me in such a serious manner as if it was something very special, I was really speechless! ”

Sis told us a story about how one of her admirers bumping his head into the wall, and we burst into another round of good laugh.

“Tell me, who is this guy? I really want to know.” Snow gave another try to grill Sis on this mysterious man’s name; unfortunately Sis had a very tight month about this.

“No, that’s the problem. You see, we work together, which complicated things.”

Snow threatened to do a human flesh research, but Sis kept ignoring her. “What’s next?” I was anxious to know the result.

Taking another sip of beer, Sis continued her story.

“What can I do? It’s a delicate matter. I started ignoring him, but obviously he took it pretty badly. He complained a lot about me in his space and required me to give him a reason. Can you believe it? We hadn't started yet! Not even at gradual getting-to-know-each-other stage. Yes, he asked me out, and yes, I agreed to have a dinner with him---as a coworker, just once, that’s all, no string, no attachment, and definitely no commitment. What’s the reason I could possibly give to him? “

There was a short break, but soon we found something else to cut the silence. We talked, giggled, drunk beer and eaten everything we could get our hands on. Vaguely I realized that it had been a long time since I did this. Being a mother, a wife and an employee have eaten most of my time and energy. Of course, I have getting-together with my friends, but the topic is always the same: our child. And during this short business trip with two of my colleagues (both unmarried), I relieved a part of my life  that I had lost long time ago---a girly part, sensitive and reckless. I never realized that I actually missed that part.
