Usually I would arrive at the office around 8:15 in the morning. After clearing my desk, I would go to the lobby and pour myself a cup of coffee. I would sip the hot liquid, grimacing at the taste. It's a mystery how anyone could take simple water and coffee and make them taste so horrible. However, take it or leave it. Since I couldn’t function well without coffee, I really don’t have many options.
Then I would turn on my computer, handling emails, filling records, preparing reports, things like that. And I also would spend some time surfing those group buy web sites since lately I have become such a huge fan of group buying, perhaps I would even order some stuffs there and deal with my spending guilt afterwards.
It was pretty much the same everyday. Such routine of the life I have created has become more and more sedative. I found myself, without any particular reasons, heading into a deep lassitude. I was in no mood for anything. I haven’t updated my blog for many days, and the book I was reading was still at the same page as a month ago. In startled retrospect, I realized that nothing had achieved, nothing constructive had left for the past month. Yes, things have been done but my mental process seemed to be frozen somewhere, and most of time I simply went through the motions. Things have gone a bit out of control. I was always too intense, too involved with everyday life and it was so not me to skate blithely on the surface like that.
Time was ticking away with or without my active participation. Anyway enough bogging down with ennui. Face it, I really can’t afford lolling around and I really don’t have much, both time and energy, to waste.
Hi, there, vacation is over.
