The train station was crowded with the strangers. I should be scared but since I am three years old now, I guess I must stop acting like a baby. I did explore this place a little and I was fascinated by a big machine at the gate. When we entered, Mummy and Daddy placed our luggage on this machine, and then suddenly we caught our luggage on the other side of it! Dear me! I wondered what would happen if I had climbed in? But think it over I guessed I’d better not. Rule No. I: Always play safe, because it hurt when you fall!
We waited, we waited and we waited for a long long time---I think we waited at least for three minutes, because in the end I felt sleepy and mummy had to pick me up when we were lining up in the corridor. Then I heard mummy whispered to me: “What should we do? We have no ticket for you, and you have to go home by yourself now.” It took three seconds for all the words to sink in---exactly three seconds---because I burst out crying just when mum counted three. If I was not so scared, so distressed and felt so wronged, I could see familiar sparks in mum’s eyes and I would know she didn’t mean it. But it hurt so much just to think that I have to go home on my own, after all the waiting, ---besides it was dark, everyone knows that I am afraid of the dark.
“Mummy was only kidding. You don’t need a ticket.” said Daddy. He patted me on the back and gave mummy an angry look. After a while, I finally stopped crying, but I hold tightly to mummy and I made my decision if I was not allowed to get inside, no way would I let mummy go!
