Living in the fairland

559 views. 2011-6-23 06:54 |Individual Classification:Review

I finally finished 'Bloodline'. I still can't figure out what's going on between Anna and Walther. But I prefer to believe Walther really cared about Anna. The reason why he kept Anna's madness in dark is to protect her. He was afraid of losing her because once the news let out, Anna would be sent away. If what he cared about is simple the money and statue the marriage brought to him, he would be happy to get rid off his wife this way.

I can't get my mind off Anna. Poor woman. She spent most of her life in her own fantasies. She was too withdraw and shy to have any protection against the brual reality. The only way she could escape is to create a world of her own, full of dreams and fantasies, where no one else was allowed to enter. Until Walther appeared in her life, and took her out of her wonderful fairland. But I guess she never really believed that Walther had fall in love with her. It was too good to be true. She tried to believe, desperately to believe what he had said. But deep inside her, she thought Walther just married her for her name and fortune. So when she lost her twins in an accident, when the reality became too harsh for her to accept, she escaped again. And this time she went so far that she was driven to crazy. Poor Walther, no wonder he became so pissed off every time when Anna talked about their children. How could he stand it when his wife spend day and night playing with her imaginary daughter and son? He must be desperate to cure her. He had visited almost all the psychologists in the town. But he really should send Anna to the hospital before things went way out of control. In some way, he couldn't face the reality neither.

I have my own dreamland too. Sometimes when things get hard,it's easy to withdraw into the world of imaginations, where no problems i can't handle, where i am protected and would never get hurt. But sooner or later, i still have to face my own anquish. Face it, no fairyland forever for us to hide. So when pains came, welcome it and feel it. NO pains would kill you unless you gave up.

it is always nice to read your book review and share your feelings about the book.
sometimes we do need to escape into our own fairland. but just for a while. anyway reality is reality. we just cannot escape it. let's believe there's always a solution to any problems we may face, sooner or later. hehe.

“hope strengthens, fear kills" i learned it from one of my favorite book. i guess it is true, at most of the time, it's all about courage. face your fear and move ahead.

This is our life. Sometimes it' s really lucky for us to be able to experience such different kinds of things. After that, we may sense that is what we need---------face the fact and enjoy the pain!
