After a few days’ glorious idleness, the first day of work had become a real challenge. I decided to deal with the most critical things and left the others later to handle. Luckily, my body and brain soon arose from the state of almost dormancy to pretty frenetic, and before offtime I’d already made most of things down.

      Today, I figured that I deserved a brief break time, so I surfed the internet. Net surfing usually leads to net shopping. This time was no exception. Before noticed, I caught myself buying a warm coat. Looks like I broke another New Year Resolution---spend less. Whatever, this winter is much colder than the last one. I really need a new one to fight against this terrible weather.

       A call from Ctrip greatly cheered me up and led to another hour’s pure daydream: The airline decided to cut price for our flight, and Ctrip would refund us 1140 yuan. What a great surprise! Phuket turns out not to be as hot as we thought --that definitely is an extra bonus besides markdown money---no more worries that the beach might be over-crowded with the tourists and left no room for anything else except the people. We discussed heatedly over Spring Festival plans in QQ group. Everyone seems to use only half mind to go through the motions and make things down, and let another half wandering in holiday’s fantasy. That’s just the spirit of Spring Festival.

        Happy hours pass in minutes.  Totally unaware of the passage of the time, I glanced at the calendar and suddenly realized four days of 2012 had already slipped by in silence. Signed, I pulled my wondering thoughts back to my work.
