Obsession

565 views. 2012-3-22 16:04 |Individual Classification:Daily Life

Obsessions are funny things. Good ones could channel all your energies, attentions into one spot until you are shone with a bright lighter, burn with a hotter fire, it lifts you to a higher plane of life, but unhealthy ones can definite drag you down to the hell, ruin your entire life. Dealing with it is like dealing with any addiction, you need to know where to draw the line, where to point it and shout to yourself: DANGER, DON’T CROSS IT!

      Really, everything is about control.

For the last month, I have been obsessed with Oversea-Buy (or so called 海淘). Obsession might be a strong word, but whatever, I always has some potentiality to be a shopaholic, especially for net shopping. I’d been badgered by C about Oversea-Buy for quite a long time. There are always two topics to make C talk: One, her adorable two-year-old, Second, Oversea-Buy. In fact, that’s pretty the same thing. She almost ordered everything for her son from oversea shopping website; consequently she has become one of those experts. I didn’t give a try until last month, perhaps that’s because deep inside my heart, I know I would open another Pandora's Box.

Oversea-Buy, from my experiences in last month, can be alluring, tempting as well as very annoying. It’s definitely something to test your patience. For a person like me who is pretty much spoiled by quick deliver service in Taobao, I found waiting period for an oversea order almost heart-wrenching.  Luck for me, soon after I started my adventure in Oversea-Buy, I ran into the famous Two Sessions, which extended the already excruciating long period for custom clearance to almost an eternity. Every morning, I logged in to check tracking information of my orders but always found nothing update, that’s really sulks.

However it’s always great when an expected package finally arrived. Each time, I felt like a child at the Christmas. Today, I got three, I can’t help but beaming at these three rumpled boxes, even none of them are for myself. Many friends found Oversea-Buy too complicate and rather demanding, therefore they come to me for help. It’s a cure to my addiction, a way to cool down my over-heated spending fever, so why not? A win-win situation.

as you know, i seldom shop online. but i know it is a trend which no one can hold back. it does give us ease and convenience. some people say shopping online is like giving yourself a gift. the anticipation when waiting, the excitement of the doorbell ringing and a box arriving and the thought of something beautiful in it, something that you've been looking forward to for so long. i guess oversea buy could be even more exciting. sounds like you've become an expert in this area, which makes me feel kind of so out. hehe.

Expert? far from it. just say it's sort of my thing. But as I said at the begining, I really should keep this spending fever in check now

Yes, shopping is kind of a style, everyone ( or every female) has her own unique mark. as long as it still can bring us the pleasure, perhaps we should do as we like to. but really sometimes I'd like to try your way when I have a deeper pocket
