Plants VS Zombies----Flower Pot (2)

1883 views. 2012-4-18 15:43 |Individual Classification:Fairytale

Some tall, some short, some gaunt, some arrogant, some with rotting wrinkled skin, some emaciated to the point of death, those hideous creatures all emanated the smell of death and stank of bloody violence. Pot couldn't believe his eyes, could believe such horrible evil really exists. But what really had shaken Pot to his bone were not the zombies, but the plants.

Strictly speaking, Pot was not a plant, but the plants were his lifelong companions and dearest friends---the only family he'd ever known. He thought he knew the plants very well. Mild, peaceful and friendly---that’s the plants in Imagine Garden, the plants he’d known for his whole life. But in this bizarre dream, all the plants had been armed to the teeth. In face of the most powerful and the worst enemies, they didn’t show the slightest sign of fear. They fought until the last drop of blood.

Pot was fascinated by their courage. This kind of courage had changed them entirely, made them shine with a brighter light, burn with a hotter fire.

With a jerk, Pot was wide awake. However, something had permanent changed. What he saw in this dream was so real that Pot found it hard to shake it away. He started asking the questions and the most constant one was: “What’s behind the walls?” No one had the answer and no one showed the slightest interest about it. “What this has to do with anything at all?” Marigolds answered to Pot’s badgering question with a big yawn. And to Pot’s great surprise, he found that many plants in Garden had the similar dreams, but none of them took it seriously. “Plant soldiers? Monsters? They are insane nonsense! Just a foolish dream, what’s all the fuss about?” they all told Pot like that.

Pot was almost driven crazy by their blind naïve. In the day, he spent hours staring at the walls, tortured by the same question: “What’s behind?” The desire to find out the answer was so strong that it was almost an obsession, an illness. He slept badly at nights----even he never had that dream again.

To be continued......

I think the pot has stronger sense of curiosity than others which makes him unique among his fellows. And I guess he would suffer more but in the meantime he would grow up more quickly and become spiritually stronger than others in facing of the real brutality of the world.

I made this story up to entertain my son. I don't allow much time for him to play this game, but I thought at least I could find some other way to transfer his attention. So I really didn't think much when I made it up. I guess subconsciously I tried to tell him something about the courage.
