April 28, 2016 Holiday Trip

Hot 4806 views. 2016-4-28 11:43

Everyone has been more or less in a kind of rut: same job, same flat, same friends, same house chores, day after day, year after year. That’s probably the reason why we are so craving for travelling. Almost deep in every one’s heart, there is a the-world-is-so-big-I-wanna-see dream. Travelling, like a shining knight on a white horse, comes to break the routines and rescue us from the boredom.

However, 3 days holiday trip always send us to a headache dilemma. To be or not to be, that’s a question.  Terrible traffic, over-crowded tourist attractions, that even makes being fleeced by hotel and restaurant the bottom item in the worried about list. If I have a better option, I would never choose this time to go out.  However, I don’t.

With a school boy at home, weekend has just mean a trip from one extended learning program to another. I’ve been longing for an escape from the hustle and bustle of city. And I really need a break, need to breathe salutary mountain airs. However this Monday when I was trying to book a hotel in Qingchen Mountains and found that several hotels I liked had already fully booked during Labor Day. I could almost imagine that terrible scenery that day:  it seems that the whole city was rushing out of the town at the same time, and traffic jam was seemed to last forever. I shudder at this thought. Still at last, I worked up my courage to make a reservation. Let’s just hope and pray!

I was wondering why people must travel during those main holidays and you have said it right. Yes, the same things and same routines every day, months and year after year. A break from these boring routines could fascinate anyone, particularly kids.

Nobody would willingly forsake these holidays and would certainly travel near or far just to get away from it all. I don't think the kid would allow you to keep him home during the 5-1 holidays. His schoolmates would probably be going here or there, so you've got to do it for him too.

All the popular destinations are filled with people and tourists. Even the lesser know ones are not easy due to traffic pressures. One way or the other, you would have to go somewhere, so book early. Don't underestimate the crowds. Have a good time.

Actually my son is not very keen about the outing. In fact, if given   unlimited access to TV and 《Harry Potter》 Series, he would much prefer to stay at home. One more reason for me to plan this trip, haha.

Sorry to hear about that. To make you feel better, I'd like to tell you a secret. Sometimes I feel more exhausting at home than at office. To care for a boy and at the same time handle all the house chores is really a tough job for me.

I just do not go anywhere else and choose to be home.

There are many reasons we have no other better choices to make life colorful. We are easily to be enrolled in that kind of whirlpool in life routine.

So we can do something to change that. But go for some places of interests during those special  and grand festivals sometimes is not an ideal choice.  Though we may say, we got little time for going around since most of the time are occupied by kids, family and work.

Yes we have options so long as we think it good, then it is deserved.

Yeah, deserve or not, different people would have different answers. For me, it's a risk worhy of trying. Normally I am a stay-at-home type, travel probably is one of the very few things that can drag me out of my shell---probably that's why I can hardly resist it when chance came.
