Things have happened in the past two months.

The first thing needs to be mentioned is that we did it! Our visas to Germany have finally been approved and granted. Perhaps there had nothing to be worried about in the first place since we’d already provided all the materials needed for applying a travel visa. I guess I felt worried because I haven’t completed stepped out of the nightmare of being rejected when applying for US visa. Anyway when the news came I did feel relieved and excited. A month later, we are going to German and Swiss.  It’s not my first international trip but it is the first time for me to visit Europe. I am excited---no, excited is an understatement—actually, I am exhilarated by the thought of this forthcoming trip.

Second, I have kept working on my oral English for whole 150 days with “英语流利说”. The result, to be honest, is rather disappointing. But the fact I’ve persevered for such a long time, never dropped even a single day, is another kind of victory. So I won’t give up.  About a week ago, I joined its pay course. Unlike the free course, it requires more time and attentions. I must really focus if I want a pass.  It’s like my school time all over again----and not in the bad way. I just hope this time I could have made some progress.   

One day a friend of mine left a message at my wetchat moments: “How could you lead such a meaning full life? “  Meaningful? Such a big word for a little people like me.  I don’t think that I’ve already reached at that level. I just don’t want to be totally dragged into the swirl of daily routines, being completely dulled by work, child and house chores. Therefore I spared sometime for myself, learning, reading and exercising. My efforts probably led me to nowhere, but at least I’ve already been rewarded by its process.
