The 11th Double 11. Wow. I didn’t realize that, and how time flies. Double 11is supposed to be special for me, with or without shopping frenzy.

It’s my birthday.  

Honestly I don’t have much spirit of celebrating, and I seldom celebrate any anniversary. However, double 11 makes this day kind of different. I mean, when everyone is in shopping frenzy, you certainly would feel the atmosphere of celebrating, which is surely amplified by the pure pleasure of shopping.

So I’d celebrated double 11 for ten years. My husband and my mum would give me a red bag, and my son would pester me to buy him a gift this day.

“Why should I buy you a gift on my birthday?” I asked.

“Because you do something you like on birthday and you like online purchase. So I get the gift and you enjoy shopping, and everyone is happy on your birthday!” ----Point taken, I can’t agree with that.

Not today. Even shopping could not make me any better. No shopping, no EMF, no learning. I let a whole day slip by without a trace—except perhaps this diary.

I was too tired to fight the gag reflex, the tightness in the chest and the sores in the muscles. I was in no mood to celebrate, to shop or to do anything.

Okay, stop being a crying baby. Happy Birthday.
